Vacation Time!

On the last day, Maya finally fell asleep on the beach, even though we tried to get her to every day on vacation.

Sofia was nervous about the rough waves, and she loved to go to the edge of the water, then when the waves came in, she would run away as fast as she could.

We went to play miniature golf one night, but we had more obstacles on the course than most people!

Maya loved the waves and would have run off head first into them if we let her. She settled for sitting right at the surf line and letting the waves come to her.

A visit to Friends in Florida!

The Big Baptism of Maya Jade

here is the newly baptized Maya Jade with her proud parents.her proud grandad/godfather and godmother Karina hold her during the baptizing.
maya, our usually super smiley baby girl, had a throat infection and two days of poor sleeping and eating, so she wasn't very smiley on her big day.

Maya's dress was beautiful and made up of 2 layers, so after the ceremony, we could remove the longer layer and it was a dress just to her feet. Her godfather, abuelito Samuel, spent hours trying to find the perfect dress for her!

Thanksgiving Week

We went to our friend Jenks' farm one afternoon for an oyster roast. The girls had a blast, Sofia especially, because she got to see goats, chickens, dogs, and ride his zip line swing! The girls are all bundled up because it was so COLD that day!
This his zip line swing made from an old tractor seat. Sofia couldn't get enough, and it is attached to the top of the barn in the background, so it goes up pretty high!

She also managed to find an old tricycle there to ride, although she only mastered it going backward!

Thanksgiving was such a nice day here. We spent it quietly, playing out in the backyard all afternoon and eating with our neighbors that evening. Here the girls enjoy the big swing together.
