Christmas in the Carolinas

Sofia was not so thrilled about her first meeting with Santa. Her expression was so funny...all we can do is laugh when we see this photo. It makes us think of The Christmas Story and Ralphie's santa experience!

Santa came to our house early this year since we will be in Mexico for the holidays. Sofia seems to be very happy with her new toys!

















Sofia in her new big girl bed. She is very happy in it, and she crawls right in when she is sleepy. You can see it next to the crib here, but the crib is all for the new baby now!

Thanksgiving adventures

Sofia and Isaac score a ride around the backyard in the wagon...which was fun for them but hard on the adults going uphill and downhill!

We all dressed in our best and went to church together on Sunday

The cousins got some good playtime in together at Uncle Kevin's on Thanksgiving day. The swing set was a hit with the little ones!

They were all very content to pile in together on the recliner. Melanie and Georgia (and Ford)came to visit us one morning in Louisville.

Fun in the fall

Our family took a trip to the zoo one warm afternoon. Sofia loves animals, so it was fun to watch her reactions to some of the exhibits. The elephants were bathing themselves, they especially amused her! Ivan and Sofia watch the elephants spray themselves with water and mud!
My little gardener decided to grab a seat on this pot and help mommy harvest peppers. Her face twisted up when she licked them and realized they were hot! The mexican in her kept it from bothering her much though...no tears!
